~~~~Who I Am~~~~
(Almost) everything you would want to know about me:
Born: August 5, 1980
Birthplace: Pomona, CA, USA
Former hometown: Ontario, CA, USA (The best place in the whole world! Derek Labat, bite your tongue! LOL!)
New hometown: None of your business! But it is somewhere near LA. (I don't want stalkers - Derek included! Just kidding. :-)
Sign: Leo (of course - Leos are known for being show-offs) with a Gemini moon, meaning I am a person who is extremely egocentric with a tendency to change my mind very often. I also have Scorpio rising which makes me a very moody and intense person. Mixed all together - watch out! The claws, the double-personality, and the stinger will getcha! :-P
Numerology number: 4
My beautiful boyfriend: Alan Martin, 50, now has two jobs, both in the restaurant/hotel business. He has been in several movies/TV shows/commercials, most notably in Tim Burton's Ed Wood as Vampira's Assistant for about five seconds. But he got a movie credit, which is more than what most people accomplish. He hopes to get back into the acting and has a love of movies, going out to dinner, plays, parades, museums, and loving me. He is my soulmate and I love him. :-) :-) :-)
Occupation: Go to A Job? What's That?. You will read about my previous jobs there. Right now I currently work as a sales associate for JCPenney in the Women's Accessories department (hosiery, socks, hats, handbags, wallets, etc.) All the great merchandise that M**y's and R********'s-M*y doesn't have! LMAO!!! j/k - A little competition never hurt anybody! :-P
Favorite bands/performers: Paul Weller, The Jam, The Style Council, Madonna, Selena, Breathe, New Order, Scritti Politti, ABC, Swing Out Sister, Spice Girls (especially Melanie Chisholm, a.k.a. Sporty Spice), The Art Of Noise, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, basically a lot of New Wave English pop groups from the 80s, if you're really into music, you would know a lot of these people, and a lot of others I don't have any room to fit in here!!! Some other new bands/singers I like are Fatboy Slim, Fastball, Jamiroquai, Smashmouth, Sugar Ray, Sarah McLachlan, Fiona Apple, Dido, The Wiseguys (because of that song from the Mitsubishi commercial), Pink, Dirty Vegas, and lots more. I also like The Beach Boys and I just recently became a Beatles fan - thanks to Alan! Rest in peace, George and John!
Favorite book: Fortune's Rocks, by Anita Shreve. Read it! It is excellent!
Favorite movies: After Hours, Who's That Girl?, The Truman Show, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Hoffman (obscure Peter Sellers movie), the Back To The Future trilogy, E.T., The Breakfast Club, Career Opportunities, Thelma & Louise, The Rocketeer, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (obscure Albert Finney movie), Singin' In The Rain, An American In Paris, Hocus Pocus (guilty pleasure movie), The Full Monty, Spiceworld, Pocahontas, Selena, Austin Powers (the first one), The House of Mirth, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Pearl Harbor, Autumn In New York, Ocean's Eleven (the old school version with the Rat Pack), Citizen Kane, Pretty Woman and others I can't think of off the top of my head now.
TV Shows: Whose Line Is It Anyway? (hysterically funny!), Cops, America's Most Wanted, I Love Lucy, Freaky Links (when it was on the air - stupid FOX cancelled it), and 24.
I also love to read, surf the Net (I have been familiar with the computer since I was nine, there's the Leo bragging again), bidding on and buying stuff on eBay (bad Corinne! LOL!), sign guestbooks, being a part of women's webrings (because we can do it all, right, ladies?), design homepages, write the occasional story/poem, sketch portraits of famous people, eat (which I am very fond of - pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and bell peppers are my favorite). I love all kinds of junk food actually, even though it has been nearly impossible to lose weight. Sleep (which I get very little of these days), acting, dancing, and singing (which I am not the best at, but I'm working on it). I also love Victorian and Medieval imagery, as you can tell. I also love 60s Mod stuff as well. And of course, the 80s because my childhood years were during this period of time.
Favorite Cappuccino Kid quote (Weller fans'll get this): "But then the squares downstairs keep complaining about the noise grooving off my portable and what can you do except turn it up even louder and shut their dreary grumblings out and onto the floor!"
Another bit of advice my former high school counselor gave me: "If they can't take a joke - screw 'em." My sentiments exactly. Amen.
More about me coming soon once I can think of some stuff...
